Thank you...
The Emperor’s Tea has primarily been an online premium tea
company as well as a supplier for certain retail stores…until recently. M.C.
Rivetti and Jason Woodland had spoken about opening a retail teahouse
throughout the years, but were busy managing their online business so the idea
took a back seat.
2013 was different.
“I guess it was a sudden fit of inspiration that we both
got, and decided to start the search for the perfect place to move forward with
opening a premiere tea house” says Jason. They always had a lot of success
working the local Salt Lake shows ranging from the Utah State Fair to CraftSabbath, and they always loved being able to be front line with their customers.
“We love seeing our customers faces when they find a tea
they fall in love with” says M.C. and knowing it will have a positive impact on
their health makes it that much better!” They found the perfect spot to open in
June of 2013 and it took 6 months to get it built out and to make sure all the
perfect touches were made.
They thought that they would be open by October of that
year, but they were a bit off. After many 85 hour work weeks they finally
opened in February of 2014. And it has been very well received! They not only
offer an extremely robust variety of premium loose leaf teas, they also offer
made from scratch Italian desserts. Cannoli, Pizzelle, Tiramisu, Torta di
Ricotta and Biscotti, oh my! They call the store TEAramisu by The Emperor’s Tea
and it is located on 929 East 4500 South in Millcreek Utah. And, they have
great parking!
The bottom line is that they had a ton of amazing friends,
family and brothers that came into the picture to help out through the months
of putting the store together and they want to thank them here on this blog:

Live music at TEAramisu with guitarist Joel Jensen
What a wonderful Friday evening it was. Joel Jensen, a very talented musician from the Salt Lake City area came down to the shop to play some tunes. He played a wide range of acoustic sets as well as sang many well known songs. A true artist he was. Talented, engaging, and funny. Great friends, music, tea, and desserts! A magnificent time was had by all.

Local artist Brad Barker at TEAramisu.
Theories pass. The frog remains. - Jean Rostand
We are pleased to be showing a piece of one of the great artists of Salt Lake City, Utah, Brad Barker. Brad is a staple in the local music and art scenes, and has been a powerful influence among many in the Salt Lake area going back to the early Punk Rock days. He is an extremely versatile artist that has a great command of color use. Recently when asked about his inspiration on a particular painting, Barker replied "My love for painting animals in un-natural colors." Brad is a true asset to Salt Lake City and we invite you to come down and enjoy a nice cup of tea and bask in the beauty of this great piece.
